In Person Reiki Treatment

A luxury Reiki treatment can include crystals, singing bowl, resonance tubes and Koshi  chimes. Or just enjoy Reiki as a simple treatment. With time to relax afterwards – the Reiki usually lasts for around 45 minutes. Treatments are offered in my dedicated therapy room in Morley St Peter or at The Ultimate Touch in Wymondham.  Session time 60 – 90 minutes.

All visits are by appointment.

Reiki level one course information

A Reiki Level One course serves as an initiation into the practice of Reiki, a Japanese healing technique that promotes relaxation, stress reduction, and overall well-being. Typically conducted over a day or a weekend, this introductory course introduces participants to the fundamental concepts, history, and techniques of Reiki.

Throughout the course, students learn:

History and Principles: Participants delve into the origins and principles of Reiki, understanding its Japanese roots and its modern adaptation as a holistic healing practice.

Energy Basics: Students gain an understanding of energy, learning about concepts such as chakras, and the flow of life force energy (ki or chi) within the body.

Hand Positions: They learn hand positions for self-treatment and treatment of friends and family, enabling them to channel Reiki energy for healing purposes.

Attunement: The course includes an attunement ceremony,, which opens the student’s energy channels and connects them to the Reiki energy.

Practice Sessions: Participants engage in hands-on practice sessions, both giving and receiving Reiki treatments, to develop confidence and sensitivity to energy.

Ethics and Guidelines: They are introduced to ethical considerations and guidelines for practicing Reiki, including respecting client boundaries and maintaining professionalism.

Integration and Self-Care: The course emphasises the importance of self-care for practitioners, teaching techniques for grounding, protection, and maintaining energetic balance.

Certification: Upon completion of the course and attunement, participants receive a Reiki Level One certificate, acknowledging their ability to practice Reiki for self-healing and the healing of others at a foundational level.

Overall, a Reiki Level One course provides a comprehensive introduction to Reiki, empowering individuals to begin their journey as Reiki practitioners and explore the healing potential of this gentle yet powerful modality.

As a high-performing professional, in my 50s, my daily routine was filled with long hours, deadlines, and immense pressures.  I was perpetually exhausted, often overwhelmed, and had trouble sleeping for any length of time. A small break in a foot bone stubbornly refused to heal and would flare up periodically; not allowing me to exercise as I once had. My physical health started to decline, and my emotional well-being was low. I decided to explore alternative healing practices, hoping to find a solution to my problems. That’s when I came across Reiki, an energy healing technique known for its ability to promote relaxation and overall well-being. Intrigued, I booked my first session, hoping that Reiki would help me feel better and regain some balance in my life.

Session 1: A Gentle Introduction to Reiki

I entered my first Reiki session with a mixture of curiosity and scepticism, unsure of what to expect. Kirsty explained the process and ensured that I felt comfortable and at ease. As the session began, she placed her hands lightly on various points of my body, channelling energy. As she moved over my injured foot, I felt the energy more strongly. It wasn’t at all painful, but I could definitely feel a strong sensation. 

The experience was incredibly calming and relaxing, a stark contrast to the tension I had become accustomed to feeling. As the session progressed, I felt a release of tension, presumably where I had been holding onto a lot of anxiety and stress. By the end of the session, I felt lighter and more at peace than I had in a long time. My sleep improved that night and was deep and refreshing – something I had not experienced for a while.

Session 2: Delving Deeper into Emotional Healing After the first Reiki session, I noticed a significant improvement in my mood and overall stress levels. Encouraged by the results, I eagerly scheduled my second session, hoping to delve deeper into the emotional healing that Reiki offered. During this session, my practitioner focused on releasing energy blockages related to past traumas and emotional wounds.

As the energy flowed through me, I felt a wave of emotion rise to the surface. I allowed myself to feel and release these emotions, trusting in both Kirsty and Reiki. By the end of the session, I felt a profound sense of relief and emotional freedom that I had not experienced in years. I felt very emotional and felt that I did need to cry. Kirsty was attentive and very compassionate during this time.

Session 3: Physical Healing and Improved Sleep My third Reiki session focused on addressing my physical health issues, particularly the insomnia and stubbornly aching foot muscles from the broken foot that had plagued me for months. As my practitioner worked on balancing my energy centres, I felt a warm, comforting sensation envelop my body. It was as if a gentle wave of healing energy was washing away the tension and exhaustion that had accumulated over time.

That night, I again slept soundly and woke up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. My energy levels improved dramatically, and I was able to tackle my daily tasks with renewed vigour and enthusiasm. I was amazed at the impact that just a few Reiki sessions had on my overall well-being; particularly in releasing the muscles in my foot so that I was able to start exercising again.

Session 4: Cultivating Inner Peace and Balance: In my fourth Reiki session, the focus shifted to cultivating inner peace and balance. As my practitioner gently guided me through the process, I felt a deep sense of connection to my inner self and a greater awareness of the present moment. I realized that much of my stress and anxiety stemmed from my incessant worrying about the future and rumination over the past.

Reiki helped me understand the importance of living in the present moment and cultivating mindfulness, which has become a valuable tool in managing my stress levels. As I continued to practice Reiki on myself, I noticed a remarkable shift in my ability to handle stressful situations and maintain a sense of inner calm and balance.
